Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Yasa Limited. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of our electric motor technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigation and Analysis: Determine the root causes of reported faults using recognised analysis processes, such as 8D, Five Whys, Fault Tree etc.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Document investigations accurately and thoroughly to produce appropriate engineering reports in a timely manner.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and assist the career development of Fault Analysis Engineer direct reports.
  • Guidance and Support: Provide guidance and support to Fault Analysis Engineers within the team.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Hold a relevant engineering qualification (e.g. mechanical or electrical).
  • Experience: Have experience in fault or failure investigation, or of test or development in a similar, relevant environment (e.g. automotive, aerospace, precision engineering).
  • Skills: Have practical experience in the use and application of electric or other rotational machines.
  • Knowledge: Have working knowledge and understanding of the properties of a range of engineering materials, and their applications.
  • Personal Qualities: A flexible approach and the ability to succeed in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel as required.
