Job Description

Job Title: Experienced Social Worker - Case Manager

Job Summary:

5 Star Recruitment is seeking an experienced social worker to join our team as a case manager. As a case manager, you will be responsible for working with children and families to address their social, emotional, and environmental needs. You will assess risks and needs, develop and implement plans to improve the quality of life for vulnerable children and young people, and ensure the well-being and safety of the child/young person is paramount.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks, and develop and implement plans to address these needs and mitigate risks.
  • Case Management: Manage a caseload of children and families, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other professionals, including healthcare professionals, educators, and social services staff, to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to supporting children and families.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, plans, and progress, and provide regular reports to management and other stakeholders.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance skills and knowledge, and stay up-to-date with best practices and policies.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience working with children and families in a social services setting.
  • Skills: Strong assessment and planning skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and proficiency in record keeping and reporting.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position, and the successful candidate will be required to work a standard 37.5 hour week. The role may require occasional evening or weekend work, and the ability to travel throughout the county is essential.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position is £25.00/hour, with opportunities for overtime and bonuses. A comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance and retirement plan, is also offered.
