Job Title: Specialist Physiotherapist

NHS Scotland is seeking a highly skilled Specialist Physiotherapist to join the Clinical Gait Analysis Service in the SMART Centre at Astley Ainslie Hospital in Edinburgh.

About the Role

This part-time (0.5 wte) position requires the post holder to have a strong background in physiotherapy, with expertise in gait analysis and rehabilitation. The successful candidate will work closely with medical consultants and specialist AHPs to provide high-quality care to patients referred for gait analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct specialized gait assessments and analyze multiple data sets to inform clinical decisions
  • Generate detailed clinical and technical reports with recommendations for use by medical consultants and specialist AHPs
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure patient health needs are met
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of physiotherapy principles and practices, with experience in gait analysis and rehabilitation. A PVG Scheme membership/record is also required for this post.
