Performance Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Performance Engineer to join our team in Stafford. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading diesel engine performance and emissions calibration projects, engaging in mechanical verification and validation of engine components and systems, and coordinating engineering activities, including test and analysis tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead diesel engine performance and emissions calibration projects, ensuring high-quality results and adherence to industry standards.
  • Engage in mechanical verification and validation of engine components and systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Coordinate engineering activities, including test and analysis tasks, to ensure timely and effective project delivery.
  • Conduct failure analysis and implement corrective actions using industry-standard methods, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, adhering to high-quality standards and communicating complex information effectively to stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • An Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification/experience, with a strong foundation in mechanical engineering and data analysis.
  • Proven expertise in engine performance and emissions calibration, alongside strong data analysis skills and knowledge of emissions measurement techniques and worldwide emission regulations.
  • Proficiency in PC literacy, particularly with MS Office suite, and a high standard of written technical reporting.
  • A strong understanding of industrial diesel engine systems and a passion for innovation and quality.
