About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Academics Agency. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students with ALN needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their academic and personal goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to meet the needs of students with ALN.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure that students receive the support they need.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to promote inclusion and diversity in the classroom.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with children with ALN needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting children's education and personal development.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Knowledge of relevant safeguarding and health & safety procedures.
  • DBS on the update service or willing to get one.
