As we continue to evolve, we are excited to offer an opportunity for an Apprentice Service Engineer. In this role, you will receive comprehensive training through a dedicated mentor, our educational partner, and additional manufacturer-led sessions over a three-year Level 3 program. Your focus will be on servicing, repairing, and conducting LOLER inspections on our extensive range of hire equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquire skills in performing routine servicing and maintenance of all hire equipment under the mentorship of an experienced technician.
  • Collaborate with your mentor to identify and procure necessary spare parts for effective repairs.
  • Utilize on-site Kanban systems to ensure equipment is maintained in a hire-ready condition.
  • Consult with your mentor regarding equipment evaluations related to write-offs, damages, and lost accessories, and manage customer charges as necessary.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A strong desire to learn within the mechanical and electrical engineering sectors.
  • Possess a positive mindset, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and strong communication and organizational skills.
  • A commitment to a three-year educational program away from home to achieve a qualification in plant maintenance.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and solid numerical skills.
  • Previous experience in manual handling is advantageous but not mandatory.

As part of this apprenticeship, you will enroll in the Level 3 Land-Based Service Engineer program. Candidates must have GCSE or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths (Grade 4 / C).
