We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon to join our team as a Locum Consultant. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a high-quality secondary and tertiary paediatric orthopaedic service to the children and adolescents of Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Thames Valley, and neighbouring counties.

Main Duties
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise in Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgery
  • Develop and implement clinical strategies to improve patient outcomes and service delivery
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients
  • Contribute to the development of paediatric orthopaedic training and education
  • Participate in clinical research and audit activities
Person Specification
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
  • MBChB or equivalent qualification
  • FRCS (T&O) or equivalent qualification
  • Trained to level 3 safeguarding
  • Higher medical degree
  • CCT or equivalent in orthopaedic surgery
Requirements
  • Comprehensive training in Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgery and fellowship experience
  • Evidence of ability to make decisions at consultant level and to manage complex clinical problems
  • Experience as a Paediatric Orthopaedic Consultant
Skills
  • Good leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Good written and verbal English skills
  • Experience of teaching and training
  • Ability to travel between hospitals
