Position Objective
The Senior Analyst, reporting to the Vice President of Fund Finance – Valuation Analytics, will play a crucial role in conducting valuation assessments for a diverse portfolio of investments, including co-investments and fund investments. This position is integral to the valuation process, collaborating closely with the Pantheon Valuation Committee, Fund Finance Team, Investment Team, and Portfolio Data & Fund Valuations Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate team outputs related to General Partners and co-investments for reporting and audit purposes.
- Provide technical valuation support, addressing industry trends and regulations while resolving queries from the Valuation Committee and other teams.
- Ensure the accuracy of NAV calculations, particularly for evergreen strategies.
- Assist in developing and implementing valuation processes for new strategies, focusing on efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to team deliverables and overall performance.
- Support external audit teams and assist in managing annual audits related to valuations.
- Facilitate timely and accurate delivery of Valuation Committee materials and participate in meetings to provide insights.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, including reporting compliance risks.
Qualifications and Experience
- A degree demonstrating strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills is preferred.
- A Level Maths or equivalent qualification is essential.
- Progress towards ACA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent designation is preferred.
- Experience in valuation and operational aspects of semi-liquid funds is advantageous.
- Essential knowledge of private capital valuation, with preference for experience in private credit and income funds.
- Strong understanding of valuation methodologies and best practices under IPEV, IFRS, and US GAAP for level 3 securities.
- Experience in valuation, investment analytics, accounting, or auditing, particularly related to private credit funds and company valuations.
- Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Proficient in software applications, including Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, and PowerBI.
- Experience working in a fast-paced team environment with tight deadlines.
