Role Overview
As a Maintenance Control Engineer in the Paint shop, you will play a crucial role in delivering engineering support aimed at optimizing production efficiency and ensuring the reliability of all related plant equipment. You will be the first point of contact for addressing equipment and process issues, requiring a robust background in PLC and Controls, particularly with systems such as Rockwell, Schneider, and Motor Control.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to uphold a safe and effective production environment, adhering to the principles of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, and the Environment.
- Provide expertise and support for continuous improvement initiatives, working alongside integrated production and maintenance teams.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to enhance process efficiency and workspace organization.
- Oversee the execution of process modifications, ensuring all documentation is accurately maintained.
- Deliver technical guidance during team problem-solving sessions to identify root causes and implement corrective measures.
- Engage in environmental initiatives to uphold compliance with established standards.
Qualifications
Essential Skills:
- Proficient technical skills in mechanical and electrical automotive engineering acquired through experience in manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of PLC, Electrical Control, and Mechanical Systems.
- Possession of relevant NVQ/BTEC Level 3 qualifications or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar maintenance role within a manufacturing environment.
