Job Description

We are seeking highly motivated and talented individuals to join our team as Analytical and Synthetic Chemistry professionals. As a key member of our research and development team, you will be responsible for conducting analytical and synthetic chemistry activities associated with the development and control of manufacturing processes for new drug substances and drug products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct analytical techniques and processes, including HPLC, GC, dissolution, MS, NMR, vibrational spectroscopy, Karl-Fisher, automated methods and platforms, method validation, stability testing, batch analysis testing and documentation, performed in environments compliant with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Create, review and validate analytical methods, laboratory documentation and technical reports.
  • Work closely with experienced GSK analysts to guide you in your day-to-day activities and collaborate with other technical experts, such as synthetic chemists and/or formulators.
  • Participate in personal projects and/or work packages, and contribute to the test and release of materials and products for clinical studies.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP); and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and continuous project improvements.
Requirements
  • Currently studying an Undergraduate Degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or similar.
  • Completed a minimum of 2 years of your undergraduate degree but not graduated at the start of your placement.
  • Enrolled at a UK (United Kingdom) or ROI (Republic of Ireland) University for the duration of your placement.
  • Written and spoken fluency in English.
