Engineering Support Associate

Spire Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Engineering Support Associate to become a vital part of our dynamic team on a flexible Bank contract. This role offers the unique advantage of a 0-hour contract, allowing you to select shifts that fit your schedule, whether to cover for absences or to provide additional assistance as needed. The primary aim of this position is to support the Engineering Manager and collaborate with the engineering team to deliver a thorough and cost-effective service within our healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a responsive in-house maintenance service on a daily basis.
- Conduct maintenance and testing of equipment, ensuring adherence to current Health Technical Memorandum (HTM) guidelines and legal standards.
- Assist in the execution of a preventative maintenance strategy for all building services, equipment, and associated documentation.
- Identify personal training and development needs, discussing suitable solutions with your line manager.
- Coordinate with external contractors providing specialized services related to building and equipment maintenance.
- Provide emergency on-call service outside of regular hours.
- Maintain weekly records of plant and services to ensure compliance with required parameters.
- Order necessary materials for maintenance tasks, ensuring adequate backup stock levels and secure storage.
- Act in the absence of the Engineering Manager and perform any additional duties as assigned.
- Participate in mandatory training and ongoing professional development to enhance skills.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Qualified as a Mechanical Tradesperson to City & Guilds equivalent.
- Relevant post-qualification experience.
- While specific shifts are not mandatory, we seek individuals who can offer flexibility to work multiple days per week.
- Must possess the right to work in the UK; this position does not provide visa sponsorship.
