Administrative Assistant
We are seeking a skilled Clerical Officer to provide day-to-day clerical support to our Health Records team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and scanning medical casenotes, uploading to the clinical portal, and performing administrative tasks.
Due to the physical and repetitive nature of the role, candidates must be able to lift and handle heavy case note folders and to bend and stretch to retrieve case notes from shelving.
The role also requires manoeuvring loaded trolleys and cages on a regular basis.
A level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential for this role due to data being uploaded to a live clinical system.
Relevant admin/clerical experience is required, as is the ability to prioritise and deal with the day-to-day workload in a busy environment.
Candidates should be educated to Standard Grade (or equivalent) with passes in English and Arithmetic.
Good keyboard/typing skills, organisational and listening skills are essential, as well as a flexible approach to working.
A level of English language competency and communication skills necessary to perform this role safely and effectively is required.
Applications on a secondment basis will be considered, providing prior agreement from your current line manager.
Please note the salary for this post is pro rata to part-time hours.
NHS Fife is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination.
We welcome applications from all sections of society.
