Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced General Machinist to join our dynamic team in a manual machine shop environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining manual machining tools, performing turning and welding tasks, and ensuring precision and accuracy in machining and surface grinding processes.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain manual machining tools, including surface grinders, radial drillers, and lathes.
- Perform turning and welding tasks as required, adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain an efficient and productive work environment.
- A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a manual machine shop.
- Proven experience in welding, surface grinding, turning, and working with radial drillers.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Competitive salary of £26,000 - £29,000, dependent on experience.
- Early finish on Fridays.
- Permanent position with opportunities for growth and development within the company.
