Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced RF Test/Applications Engineer to join our Mobile Solutions RFIC team in the UK design center. This role will involve testing, debugging, and optimizing prototype RFIC designs to meet customer specifications, and supporting them through to production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform RF testing on prototypes using automated test systems in an R&D lab, including EVM, load pull, ACPR, etc.
  • Debug and optimize prototype performance through RF tuning and IC control interface.
  • Analyze and evaluate results.
  • Support designs through to production, including production test result analysis.
  • Work closely with design engineers and product engineers.
  • Modify and debug test software, configuration files, and other scripts.
  • Manage equipment calibration and maintenance.

Requirements

  • Degree or BTEC Level 5 in a relevant discipline and 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Working knowledge of RF test equipment, including Vector network analysers, spectrum analyser, signal generators, load pull, etc.
  • Scripting and debug experience in Python, LabVIEW, Visual Basic, or similar.
  • Ability to work methodically with careful record keeping.
  • Experience of modern wireless communications systems, including Wifi, Cellular, Bluetooth.
  • Data analysis, interpretation, and presentation/reporting using Excel.
  • Appreciation of analogue and RF design principles.
