About the Role

As a Residential Senior Carer at Barchester Healthcare, you will be responsible for leading a team of care staff, which will include training, supervisions, and delegating duties on shift. You will also support with the administering and ordering of medication, reviewing and updating resident care plans and risk assessments, and liaising with healthcare professionals and resident family members.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of care staff to deliver high-quality care and support to residents
  • Train and supervise care staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent care
  • Delegating duties on shift to ensure the smooth operation of the care home
  • Support with the administering and ordering of medication
  • Review and update resident care plans and risk assessments
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals and resident family members to ensure the best possible care for residents

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong background in healthcare, with a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care. You will also have previous experience in a residential care setting, with proven team leadership skills and the ability to make appropriate decisions to support the needs and wellbeing of our residents.
