We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operating Department Practitioner/Anaesthetic Nurse to join our anaesthetic team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. Our team is comprised of ODPs and Anaesthetic Nurses who staff six operating theatres, including one hybrid theatre and five catheter labs. We also cover lists in the Diagnostic Imaging Centre, CT and MRI, and provide out-of-hours support.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with senior staff and multi-disciplinary team members to maintain excellent clinical standards and staff development.
- Perform anaesthetic assistant tasks, following all checks and procedures as laid down in National/ Theatre Policy.
- Act as a mentor, supporting the continuing professional development and overall performance of staff.
- Take charge of the department when required, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Provide flexible cover for areas specified, utilizing knowledge and training to meet clinical needs.
