Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Public Health Nursing Team Leader to join our team at Central London Community Health Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing a team of Public Health Nurses, providing expert guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management: Provide strategic leadership and management to the Public Health Nursing team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.
- Team Development: Develop and implement plans to improve team performance, skills, and knowledge, ensuring the team is equipped to meet the needs of patients and the organization.
- Service Development: Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement new services and programs, ensuring they meet the needs of patients and the organization.
- Quality Improvement: Identify areas for quality improvement and implement changes to ensure high-quality patient care and services.
- Communication: Develop and maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare teams and organizations to ensure the delivery of comprehensive patient care.
- Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and guidelines in public health nursing, applying this knowledge to improve patient care and services.
Requirements:
- Education: Registered Nurse/Registered Midwife, Specialist Community Public Health Nurse qualification (school nursing or health visiting BSc or diploma), and current NMC registration.
- Experience: Recent health visiting or school nursing experience, experience of coordinating and leading multi-skilled teams, and experience of working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team and inter-agency working.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, high level of work organization, self-motivation, drive for performance and improvement, and flexibility in approach and attitude.
