About the Role

Osmii is seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our database team, you will be responsible for ensuring the performance, integrity, and security of our databases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Database Performance and Optimization: Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure efficient data retrieval and storage.
  • Data Integrity and Security: Ensure data integrity and security by implementing robust backup and recovery processes, and maintaining database documentation and standards.
  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Plan and execute disaster recovery strategies to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless database integration and communication.
  • Database Automation and Scripting: Develop and maintain database scripts and tools, including automation scripts such as shell, psql, and batch files.
  • Staying Up-to-Date: Stay updated with the latest database technologies and trends to ensure Osmii remains competitive.
Requirements
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience as a PostgreSQL DBA with a strong understanding of database performance, integrity, and security.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with database tools and technologies, including DMS, DMA, and schema conversion.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
