Job Title: Credit Control Analyst

Saxton Leigh is seeking a highly skilled Credit Control Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our corporate banking team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality credit risk assessments and recommendations for corporate, financial institution, and sovereign counterparties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive and accurate credit analysis of country risks
  • Provide technical support, advice, and assistance to all Business Areas on all credit-related matters
  • Assist with arranging Credit Committee meetings and approvals and the presentation of credit proposals to Head Office
  • Establish and maintain credit risk management controls, systems, and procedures that meet the requirements of the Branch and external auditors
  • Monitor adherence to approved credit limits and ensure that the Deputy Head of Risk is informed of all material excesses on the same working day as identified
  • Generate credit MI related to the client, industry, or country risk factor
  • Ensure that all credit risks are properly monitored and controlled and that credit limits are all formally reviewed as per the Branch's internal policies
  • Undertake regular monitoring and review of 'problem loans'
  • Liaise with Head Office regarding credit risk issues and assist with Head Office reporting
Requirements:
  • Strong experience in analyzing credit risks of all types, with particular emphasis on large corporate clients in UK/Western European markets
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Mandarin
  • A basic understanding of market risks and operational risks would be an advantage
