About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner to join our team at The Children's Society. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting children and families to improve their emotional health and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver short-term interventions to children aged 8-13 who are struggling with their emotional health and wellbeing.
  • Work in partnership with children, parents, carers, and family members to develop and implement personalized support plans.
  • Collaborate with other organizations and agencies, such as schools, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHs), GPs, and early help services, to ensure a comprehensive approach to supporting children and families.
  • Utilize our wellbeing app, 'Me Time', to provide digital interventions and support to children and families.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate risks and promote the safety and wellbeing of children and families.

Requirements:

  • Excellent relational skills and ability to build positive and trusting relationships with children and families.
  • Knowledge of emotional health and mental health presentations, as well as evidence-based and best practice.
  • Competencies in undertaking risk assessments within scope of practice.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
