About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and physically fit individual to join our janitorial and waste removal team as a Cleaning Operative. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our clients and their customers.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work effectively and efficiently within our janitorial and waste removal team to ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained.
  • Handle waste generated on site via approved waste streams, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Operate site equipment, including scrubber dryers and sweepers, to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Provide a high level of janitorial service in welfare areas, including washrooms, break rooms, and social areas.
  • Respond to spillages and callouts from the client's on-site team in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and line managers to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Wear protective clothing (PPE) and comply with health and safety legislation and policies.

Person Specification

  • Satisfactory response from Disclosure Board at a basic level and knowledge of health and safety requirements or a willingness to learn.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • An ability to quickly adapt to a very busy operational environment.
  • A reliable and flexible approach to work.
  • This is an active role that requires you to be physically fit.
