The successful candidate will be responsible for empowering nurses and healthcare support workers to provide outstanding care, promoting a high-quality and safe standard of care.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading allocated staff to ensure the promotion and maintenance of a high-quality and safe standard of care.
* Attending essential training and update sessions to retain clinical skills.
* Ensuring effective communication of care information and managing queries to patients, relatives, and the multidisciplinary team.
* Assessing care needs, developing and implementing programmes of care, and participating in the evaluation of these with junior staff.
* Demonstrating knowledge and expertise to take appropriate action in emergency situations.
* Monitoring and maintaining the highest standards of hand hygiene and environmental cleaning practices.
* Implementing and monitoring the principles of infection control and the prevention of cross-infection with supervision.
Requirements:
* Significant experience in leadership, preferably in Paediatric ED or a related specialty.
* Flexible approach to work.
* Excellent computer skills.
* Ability to use own initiative, work independently, be accountable, and manage and balance risk.
* Teaching and development skills.
* Understanding of Data Protection, Equalities Act, and Safeguarding.
* Skills in Root Cause Analysis.
Contract:
* Permanent
* Full-time
* Salary:
* £49,178 to £55,492 per annum inclusive of HCAs (Pro-rata if LTFT)
