About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our Transportation team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering transportation projects from initial investigations to construction management and maintenance of transport networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement transportation design solutions for upgraded rail lines, light railways, motorways, public transport facilities, rural roads, cycleways, and pedestrian schemes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Apply knowledge of Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) Publications and the National Highways Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in transportation design and construction.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least four years of post-qualification experience in design or construction, including at least three years in civil engineering projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modelling).
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Chartered membership of a recognized professional body in the engineering sector.
  • Competency in AutoCAD and 3D modelling software.
