Job Title: Locum Consultant in Paediatric Critical Care

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant in Paediatric Critical Care to join our team at Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our transport service, you will be responsible for providing clinical and managerial leadership to ensure the safe and effective transportation of critically ill patients.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a CCT holder in Paediatrics, Paediatric Intensive Care Medicine, Neonatology, Paediatric Emergency Medicine, or Paediatric Anaesthesia to join our team. You will be working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing expert clinical care and leadership to our transport service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical and managerial leadership to the transport service
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure safe and effective patient transport
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
  • Conduct audits and research to improve patient outcomes and service efficiency
  • Develop and deliver training programs for transport team members
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and service delivery

Person Specification
  • CCT holder in Paediatrics, Paediatric Intensive Care Medicine, Neonatology, Paediatric Emergency Medicine, or Paediatric Anaesthesia
  • Significant experience in neonatology and paediatric intensive care
  • Experience in patient transport and leadership roles
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
