Electrical Maintenance Engineer Role Overview

KAP Technical Limited is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team.

The Role:

  1. Fault finding and maintenance on production machinery and their control systems
  2. PLC and computer control systems
  3. Plant services and their control systems
  4. Fully understand electrical drawings and symbols
  5. Experience of scheduled, preventative, and reactive maintenance tasks
  6. Preventative maintenance on process systems and safety systems
  7. Experience of PLC systems and software, in particular Mitsubishi or Siemens logic
  8. Multi-skilled electrically biased with mechanical and pneumatics experience
  9. Previous experience of food industry plant machinery

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure production equipment is running efficiently
  2. Identify and troubleshoot electrical faults on production machinery
  3. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth operation of production processes
  4. Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in electrical maintenance

Requirements:

  1. Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering or a related field
  2. Proven experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a food industry setting
  3. Strong understanding of electrical drawings and symbols
  4. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
