Machinist - Production Specialist

Reed Engineering & Manufacturing is seeking a skilled Machinist to join their team.

Job Summary

This position will involve operating various machines, including the Centreless Grinder, Twin Kasto Saw, River Saw, and Reeler/Straightener, to produce high-quality Nuclear Products. The successful candidate will also be responsible for assisting in the dispatch of materials, inspecting Grid Blank boxes, and ensuring that all products meet customer specifications.

Main Responsibilities

  • Operate Centreless Grinder and other machines to produce high-quality products
  • Assist in dispatch of materials and inspection of Grid Blank boxes
  • Ensure all products meet customer specifications
  • Perform machine maintenance and cleaning
  • Contribute to improvement activities, such as Business Improvement, OEE data collection, and Problem Solving Reports

Other Responsibilities

  • Participate in workplace organization and 5S activities
  • Train other team members on machine operation and maintenance
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards in line with Departmental Audits

Requirements

  • Experience in operating Centreless Grinder and other machines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control skills
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
