Job Title: Environmental and Sustainability Engineer

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled Environmental and Sustainability Engineer to contribute to the provision of a comprehensive environmental testing service. As part of our team, you will work closely with customers across various industry sectors, conducting climatic and mechanical environmental testing to relevant test standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct environmental testing to relevant standards and regulatory requirements.
  2. Work closely with customers during attended testing.
  3. Record test results using electronic logbook systems and produce test reports.
  4. Liaise with customers regarding test specifications, conduct, and results.
  5. Collaborate with the test supervisor to ensure accurate work completion within given timescales.
  6. Develop and refine test plans with customers.
  7. Contribute to the development of test methods and departmental documentation.
  8. Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance testing service efficiency.
Essential Requirements:
  1. Practical experience in delivering climatic and/or mechanical test services.
  2. Interest in working in a test environment.
  3. Motivated and enthusiastic, with a willingness to learn.
  4. Flexible approach to work, including overtime, ad hoc shifts, or customer site work.
  5. Strong numerical, logical, organisational, and analytical skills.
  6. Proficiency in IT systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  7. Ability to work independently or as a team to meet deadlines.
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Requirements:
  1. Previous experience in a test house environment.
  2. Knowledge of test laboratory quality and operating procedures.

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including a minimum of 33 days holiday entitlement, a contributory pension plan, and comprehensive wellbeing support.
