AVENTA is seeking a highly skilled Senior Flexible Pipe Engineer to join our team in the UK. As a key member of our project engineering group, you will play a crucial role in supporting our client's worldwide offshore deepwater projects.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare technical documentation for unbonded flexible pipes during project phases, including Conceptual Study, FEED, Tender, and Contract package preparation.
  • Follow up large EPCI contracts for offshore projects involving unbonded flexible pipe systems during tender and execution.
  • Ensure that unbonded flexible pipe system designs meet project requirements, applicable codes, and engineering best practices.
  • Review and approve FEED, tender, and detailed engineering performed by contractors.
  • Act as company representative for activities related to unbonded flexible pipe systems fabrication and testing.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Subsea Systems department and other disciplines.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Demonstrable experience with flexible pipes from preliminary engineering through detailed design.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software and basic knowledge of AutoCad.
  • Knowledge of mechanical finite analysis software (e.g., Ansys, Abaqus, Cosmosworks) and dynamic analysis software (e.g., Orcaflex).

Key Skills:

  • Experience in technical design of unbonded flexible flowlines and risers.
  • Knowledge of relevant international codes and subsea standards for flexible pipes.
