Utah State University's Maintenance Department is seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to contribute to our mission of providing safe, functional, and efficient facilities for our campus community. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Provide essential support to all maintenance operations by assisting with repairs and modifications to University property, prioritizing tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment, including engines, motors, air and water systems. Utilize schematics, diagrams, and manufacturer specifications to guide your work, employing hand tools, power tools, hoists, and forklift trucks as needed.
  • Maintain the integrity of our facilities by performing preventative maintenance routines and promptly addressing any identified issues or malfunctions.
  • Contribute to a safe and efficient campus environment by responding to maintenance requests across various University locations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in general maintenance and repair, with a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment related to building maintenance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safety and adherence to all relevant regulations and procedures.
