Job Description

**About the Role**

Nextgen Recruits is seeking an experienced Shift Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our client's team at their Devizes plant. Our client is a leading manufacturer of cans and is looking for a skilled professional to maintain the mechanical equipment and ensure smooth production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on mechanical equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and repair of mechanical issues to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
  • Collaborate with the production team to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the plant's mechanical systems and equipment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Shift Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment, including pumps, motors, and conveyor belts.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve production goals.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical issues.
