Electrical Assembly Technician

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Assembly Technician to join our team at John Bean Technologies Corporation. As an Electrical Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for wiring, building, and testing machinery intended for the food industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Wire panel back-plates, doors, and other components from circuit diagrams and panel layouts.
  • Ensure electrical build quality is of the highest possible standard.
  • Electro/mechanical installation of control cubicle components and field components.
  • Terminate and secure external cabling to the correct points in the control panel.
  • Install PLC & HMI programs.
  • Carry out earth continuity, insulation, and pre-delivery testing.
  • Perform remote support and on-site support to breakdown situations.
  • Where necessary, perform on-site machine commissioning.
  • Conduct operator and technical training at clients' sites or at Proseal.
  • Perform on-call and service duties as per service rota.
Requirements:
  • Time served electrician with experience of industrial control system wiring and fault finding.
  • 18th Edition certified.
  • Experience of working with PLCs, servo drive systems, and AC inverters.
  • Experience within the food industry an advantage.
  • Must possess a current driver's license.
