Role Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned solicitor/lawyer with substantial experience in conflicts and compliance to enhance our General Counsel & Risk function. This role is pivotal in ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory standards across our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and provide counsel on legal and regulatory risks associated with the firm's operations.
  • Deliver high-level guidance to partners and senior management regarding conflicts and compliance matters.
  • Assist in navigating complex risk scenarios, considering diverse ethical regulations across regions.
  • Stay informed on regulatory changes impacting our business.
  • Review and refine the language of standard engagement agreements.
  • Contribute to the development and management of global reputational risk strategies.
  • Lead or collaborate on various projects requiring risk and compliance insights.
  • Offer daily advice on conflicts and regulatory risks to the firm.
  • Promote a culture of risk management through training and awareness initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • Qualified Solicitor, REL, RFL, or equivalent legal qualification from Australia, New Zealand, Canada, South Africa, or the United States.
  • 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in an international law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex legal issues effectively.
  • Strong background in advising on conflicts and regulatory matters.
  • Familiarity with English professional conduct standards.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Motivated and adaptable to changing business and client needs.
  • Proficient in overcoming challenges under pressure while balancing legal obligations with business objectives.
