**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Affairs Specialist to join our team at Workingmums. As a key member of our public affairs team, you will play a critical role in shaping our organization's reputation and influence in the housing sector.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of sector issues, political priorities, and the changing regulatory environment.
  • Produce insightful briefings for senior leaders and stakeholders, highlighting key trends and opportunities.
  • Manage an effective stakeholder database and engagement grid, supporting strategic communications and stakeholder engagement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop position statements, identify emerging risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Advise and support senior leaders for conferences, roundtables, and other high-profile events, including the preparation of speaker notes and presentations.
  • Manage reputational risks and ensure the accuracy and quality of corporate material and communication collateral produced.

**Requirements**

  • A broad communication skill set with experience in public affairs and stakeholder communications.
  • Excellent writing skills for producing clear, impactful messages.
  • Experience in delivering stakeholder engagement for multiple audiences in support of complex projects.
  • Desirable to have a background in housing, local government, or similar sectors.
