Working Schedule: 4 on 2 off rota, with potential for earlier starts

Compensation: £32,366 per annum, with overtime at £22.23 per hour after 42 hours worked weekly, plus an achievable bonus of £3,000 annually.

MDE Consultants Ltd is seeking dedicated HGV Class 2 Multidrop Drivers to become part of our client's well-established team in the Yeovil region.

Job Overview:

The role involves:

  • Executing Class 2 multidrop deliveries and collections
  • Handling of bags or cages
  • Managing 4-8 drops/collections daily
  • Some routes may involve longer distances with fewer drops
  • Adhering to a 4 on 2 off working pattern

Candidate Requirements:

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Strong understanding of tachograph regulations and working time directives
  • Ability to conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any issues promptly
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities
  • Experience in manual handling and readiness for the physical demands of the job

All applicants will undergo drug and alcohol testing as part of the recruitment process. Candidates should reside within a 45-minute drive of the depot.

Qualifications:

Applicants must hold:

  • A valid UK HGV Class 2 license with substantial HGV driving experience
  • A maximum of 6 penalty points with no serious endorsements (DD/DG/DR/IN/TT/CD/UT)
  • A valid tachograph card
  • A valid CPC qualification

Benefits:

  • A performance-based bonus for safe driving, up to £3,000 per annum
  • Overtime pay after 42 hours at £22.23 per hour

  • 26.5 days of holiday per year (pro rata)
