Retail Auditor Opportunity

NSF is seeking a self-employed Retail Auditor to conduct food safety inspections and provide coaching and training at client sites in Northern Scotland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting thorough food safety inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Coaching and training clients on food safety best practices and procedures
  • Summarizing and evaluating inspection findings to identify areas for improvement
  • Communicating findings and results with client site management or representatives
  • Collecting and shipping food, product, or environmental samples for testing
  • Developing effective work plans for inspections within specified timeframes
  • Establishing and maintaining effective communication with key team members
  • Performing other duties as requested by NSF

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 4 Health & Safety and Level 4 Food Safety qualifications
  • Environmental Health Degree or similar
  • Ability to perform audits in all disciplines (Food, H&S, Fire) and/or train safety advisors
  • Registration to CIEH or IOSH
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Full UK driving license
  • Willingness and ability to travel
  • Willingness to work some evenings and weekends
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office
