Job Summary

We are seeking a Product Strategy Associate to play a central role in helping chart the growth and development of our products and services. This is an exciting new role directly involved in the firm's expansion, and the ideal candidate will be part of the Strategy, Innovation, and Execution function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive research, analysis, innovation, and planning to define and refine HarbourVest's overall product strategy and develop specific new products.
  • Identify and integrate internal and external sources of insight as inputs into the product planning process.
  • Assess current and potential attractiveness of potential new products and map the competitive landscape.
  • Manage the central repository of product ideas and advance the process of prioritizing which products to consider in more detail.
  • Help assess the positioning of existing products and propose modifications as appropriate.
Requirements
  • 2-5 years of professional experience in private equity or asset management, product management, research, or management consulting.
  • Demonstrated excellence in analytical reasoning, creativity, and written communications in team-based settings.
  • Familiarity with and interest in the private equity or broader private markets landscape.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
