Position Overview:
An exciting opportunity has emerged for a seasoned Facades Quantity Surveyor to become part of a prominent national construction firm.

In this role, you will be responsible for executing surveying tasks across a diverse array of projects, which may include luxury residential developments, high-end hotels, student housing, office buildings, healthcare facilities, and various traditional residential and commercial constructions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and subcontractors to ensure project profitability.
  • Oversee and mentor site and junior surveyors on assigned projects.
  • Participate in tender handover meetings for secured projects, ensuring accurate cost information is maintained.
  • Develop contract budgets based on tender data, forecasting total profit and loss.
  • Conduct monthly budget reviews, adjusting budgets for ongoing work.
  • Provide interim cost and value reconciliations while monitoring project cash flows.
  • Prepare and negotiate interim Applications for Payment and Final Accounts, handling all measurement aspects.
  • Manage subcontractor procurement, including rate agreements, measurements, and order placements.
  • Implement subcontract payment controls, assessing contract works, variations, materials, and claims.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of site progress through photographs, written documentation, marked-up drawings, and data collection, ensuring adherence to company protocols.
  • Monitor project timelines and report delays, including the preparation and submission of prolongation cost claims.
  • Collaborate with various departments within the business unit to enhance communication and support the company's objectives.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial and technical acumen aligned with key responsibilities. You should have a proven history of managing commercial teams across multiple sites, along with experience in both residential and commercial sectors utilizing various construction methodologies. A motivational leader with solid contract knowledge and experience in different subcontract types is essential. Managerial experience, particularly in overseeing commercial staff across various locations, is highly valued.
