This critical position involves steering a skilled team of Construction Design Managers (CDMs), Principal Designers, and Building Safety Advisors (BSA) across various projects in the UK.
Role Overview
The appointed Health and Safety Director will take charge of guiding a proficient team dedicated to upholding compliance with Construction (Design and Management) regulations while delivering superior safety and design management services. Collaboration with diverse stakeholders, including clients and project teams, will be essential.
Core Responsibilities
- Leading and nurturing a team of CDMs, Principal Designers, and BSA professionals.
- Ensuring adherence to all pertinent health and safety regulations and standards.
- Formulating and executing health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conducting comprehensive risk assessments and implementing effective risk management strategies.
- Supervising the creation and evaluation of safety documentation, such as F10 notifications, pre-construction information, and construction phase plans.
- Offering strategic counsel and guidance to clients regarding health and safety issues.
- Fostering a robust health and safety culture within the organization and across all projects.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in health and safety management, demonstrating a proactive approach to compliance and risk management. Strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders are essential for success in this role.
