Job Summary:

We are seeking a Product Safety Lead to join our team at BAE Systems. As a Product Safety Lead, you will be responsible for leading a small team in developing a functional Safety Case and managing its production to a defined schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a small team in developing a functional Safety Case
  • Manage the production of a functional Safety Case to a defined schedule
  • Undertake complex safety analysis using techniques such as Fault Tree analysis and Event Tree Analysis
  • Produce written function safety justifications
  • Liaise with a wide range of stakeholders both external and internal to the business

Requirements:

Essential:

STEM Degree or relevant experience in:

  • Leading a small team
  • Delivering functional Safety Cases
  • Complex safety analysis and justification

Desirable:

  • Previous submarine experience
  • Particularly Vehicle Control
  • Complex Control Systems

About the Role:

This is a great opportunity to join our Product Safety team and contribute to the development of submarine systems and capability. As a Product Safety Lead, you will work closely with System Engineers to influence submarine systems and ensure that safety considerations are integrated into the design and development process.
