Position Overview:
We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and skilled General Practitioner to join our esteemed healthcare team. This role is integral to delivering high-quality medical services to our patient population, ensuring comprehensive care and support.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will become part of a well-established practice serving approximately 7,200 patients. You will collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Pharmacists, and experienced nursing and administrative staff. Our organization is committed to fostering a collaborative environment and is looking to enhance our team further.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality general medical services to registered patients, including temporary residents.
  • Conduct consultations and provide appropriate clinical management for patients visiting the practice or requiring home visits.
  • Offer leadership and clinical guidance to the clinical team.
  • Facilitate telephone and virtual consultations, managing patient inquiries effectively.
  • Perform telephone triage as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all patient interactions and contribute to electronic data management and audits as required.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Full GMC Registration with a license to practice and inclusion on the GP Register.
  • Completion of training in General Practice or equivalent qualifications.
  • Eligibility for inclusion on a Medical Performers List.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development.

Experience:

  • Completion of vocational GP training.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to manage a diverse and busy primary care caseload while adapting to varying workloads.
  • Capacity to make independent clinical decisions and seek guidance from senior colleagues when necessary.
  • Commitment to teamwork and multi-disciplinary collaboration.
  • Strong communication and counseling skills.
  • Understanding of clinical risk management and governance.
  • Proficiency in IT and the ability to draft reports and documentation efficiently.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Experience in audit, research, and teaching.
  • Interest in research relevant to the specialty.
  • Previous teaching or training experience.
