About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Surveyor to join our team at the Norse Group, a national award-winning property consultancy. As a Building Surveyor, you will play a key role in delivering high-profile projects to our clients across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee complex refurbishment and maintenance projects, working with large public sector clients and managing a continuous stream of repeat business.
  • Produce design and technical drawings, prepare tender documents, and undertake contract administration duties and project management.
  • Lead quality assurance across projects and services, ensuring client needs are met and relevant legislation is adhered to.
  • Undertake site surveys, including condition assessments, schedules of condition, dilapidations, measured surveys, and planned maintenance.
  • Collate and present findings to internal and external stakeholders, offering solutions and recommendations where required.

Requirements:

  • A Professional Chartered Membership of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or working towards it.
  • Experience in the design, contract administration, and project management of construction projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Knowledge of the Building Regulations, Health & Safety, and other relevant construction and building surveying related legislation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and negotiate with all levels of internal and external parties.
  • A strong design background and proficiency in AutoCAD.
