In light of ongoing success and expansion, a prominent provider of sophisticated electromechanical solutions for the Aerospace sector is seeking to enhance their quality assurance team.

The key responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Engineer include:


  • Supplier evaluation and ongoing management
  • Developing quality and performance metrics and providing regular updates
  • Overseeing the supplier/sub-tier return process

Additionally, you will:

  • Handle supplier/sub-tier corrective action requests, ensuring thorough investigation and timely resolution of issues
  • Address customer quality concerns related to sub-tier products and facilitate effective problem-solving
  • Implement PPAP with suppliers/sub-tier
  • Issue corrective actions for inadequate processes and follow up to confirm the effectiveness of corrective/preventive measures through SCAR
  • Support Engineering with ECN (Engineering Change Notes)
  • Contribute to the preparation of DFMEAs and PFMEAs
  • Assist in the creation of part Appearance Approval reports
  • Review and authorize Supplier/Sub-tier First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR)

The ideal Quality Assurance Engineer will possess the following qualifications:

  • Familiarity with ISO9001 / AS9100 / TS16949 standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities – 8D, 5Y, etc.
  • Experience in supplier quality management
  • Aerospace / Defence industry experience is advantageous
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma principles
  • Experience with intricate electro-mechanical products is a significant benefit
