Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Web Development Specialist to join our Ecommerce Development department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and supporting our ecommerce platforms, ensuring seamless user experiences and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Development and Support
    • Assist in the development of new features and enhancements to existing websites, as well as the development of new websites or services.
    • Collaborate with the Group Web Design Team to facilitate new designs and features.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Develop and maintain ecommerce platforms using in-house ecommerce platform, HTML, JavaScript, and Microsoft technologies (SQL,.NET, etc.).
    • Test and document new features, applications, or reported production issues.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work closely with the ecommerce team to provide services and support for projects and application development.
    • Communicate effectively with suppliers and third-party vendors to resolve issues or further development.
  • Process and Documentation
    • Document processes and procedures followed to allow developed systems to be managed by 1st line support teams.
  • Ecommerce Platform Support
    • Respond to, identify, and resolve any issues reported to us via the ecommerce customer service team.

Requirements

  • Technical Skills
    • Strong understanding of Microsoft C# or JavaScript/JQuery.
    • Experience of using.NET Framework or.NET Core.
    • Good SQL Server or Entity Framework knowledge.
    • Some sound knowledge of HTML and CSS.
  • Soft Skills
    • Motivated self-starter with a willingness to learn and adapt.
    • Good written and personal communication skills.
  • Desirable Skills
    • Website/software testing.
    • Cloud experience (Azure or AWS).
    • Experience with RESTful APIs, and/or microservices.
    • Agile/Scrum experience.
    • Azure DevOps or similar (Git, Source Control).
    • Ecommerce development.
    • Some exposure to MVC, Web Services, XML, PHP, IIS, Punch-Out, or Payment Gateways.
