If you are, the Salesian Provincial Office offers an excellent opportunity. We operate a Youth Retreat Centre that provides both residential and day retreats for diverse groups and individuals.

Our small, welcoming team is seeking a skilled cook to prepare high-quality, home-cooked meals using fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. Your culinary creations will enhance the experience for our guests, who typically include groups of up to 50 people and a resident community of around 15 individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver a diverse menu that accommodates special dietary needs.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high cleanliness standards.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including purchasing and stock rotation.
  • Oversee food safety standards and general kitchen management.

Qualifications:

You must possess a valid Level 2 Award in Food Safety and demonstrate the ability to work independently with integrity. A friendly demeanor and a professional appearance are essential, along with a willingness to adapt to flexible working hours.

Working Hours: 30+ hours per week, Sunday to Wednesday (daytime only)
