About the Role

We are seeking an experienced mental health nurse to join our Aneurin Bevan Specialist Drug and Alcohol Service (ABSDAS) as a Specialist Addictions Nurse. This is an exciting opportunity to work with service users to comprehensively assess their needs and develop an appropriate care plan.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide a specialist addictions service to service users, working with them to assess their needs and identify options to meet those needs.
  • Negotiate and review appropriate care within the parameters of the ABSDAS eligibility criteria.
  • Work collaboratively with the ABSDAS team to provide an extensive treatment and case management service to people experiencing problems with substance use and associated complexities.
About ABSDAS

ABSDAS is a community-based service that provides treatment for drug and/or alcohol dependent adults aged 18 and over. We offer a comprehensive service that addresses the physical and psychological well-being of service users, in addition to their substance use.
