About the Role

Cathedral Appointments | South West Recruitment is seeking an experienced Audit and Accounts Manager to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of statutory financial statements and corporation tax returns for limited companies and charities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns for clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise and direct the audit team, ensuring efficient and timely completion of assignments, including planning, fieldwork, and systems recording.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing proactive and advisory services to meet their financial needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and implement process improvements, ensuring the highest level of service delivery.

Requirements:

  • AAT/ACA/ACCA part-qualified or AAT Level 4 studying
  • A minimum of 1 year's statutory audit experience, gained in a practice environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
