Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Corrosion Engineer to join our team at Oceaneering. As a Corrosion Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and delivering assigned asset corrosion engineering work, including control strategies. You will also provide other assigned corrosion engineering support services to Oceaneering and/or client companies as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Asset Corrosion Engineering
    • Ensure regulatory and client standard compliance
    • Support the Project Manager in appropriate aspects of management of the Oceaneering contract, providing assurance on technical delivery and cost management
    • Ensure all work is compliant with relevant client engineering, safety standards and practices, and review any revisions and feedback from client Integrity Focal Point
    • Ensure implementation of client corrosion management control strategies
  • Corrosion Management
    • Participate in the risk-based assessment process, and provide corrosion expertise and effectively interact with multi-disciplinary Risk Based Assessment (RBA) or other process groups
    • Input to the production and ongoing management of the asset Annual Inspection Plans and client planning process compliance for corrosion monitoring activities
    • Assist with corrosion input to asset Turnaround (TAR) programmes
  • Corrosion Engineering Support
    • Assist with producing pipework inspection workscopes and workpacks as directed by the Senior Integrity Engineer
    • Ensure the effective application of innovative inspection and corrosion engineering applications and specialist technologies
    • Input to the Anomaly Management process for corrosion and materials issues
    • Assist senior engineer(s) with corrosion anomalies and failures
Requirements
  • Education
    • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school (engineering or science discipline)
  • Experience
    • Minimum of 3 years' experience and/or training
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Able to demonstrate working knowledge of design, manufacture, metallurgy, welding, codes standard, risk assessments, and legislation associated with the in-service inspection of plant and equipment
    • Good knowledge of NDE systems and techniques
    • Ability to work to given deadlines with minimal supervision
    • Ability to work as part of a team and with minimal supervision
    • Experience of working on PC workstations, particularly with Microsoft office products
