We are seeking an experienced Digital Sports Editor to join our team at the Evening Standard. As a key member of our sports department, you will be responsible for creating and maximizing the impact of our sports stories across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive digital sports content strategy to engage our audience and drive traffic to our website.
  • Edit and produce high-quality sports content for our website, social media, and other digital platforms.
  • Commission and write articles, analysis, and comment pieces from our reporting team.
  • Manage breaking news and develop SEO and social media strategies to maximize audience engagement.
  • Run live blogs and match content, and commission multimedia sports coverage, including video and audio.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in digital sports journalism, with a strong understanding of SEO and social media strategy.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
