Job Title: Senior Engineering Delivery Manager

Thales is seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineering Delivery Manager to join our team in Glasgow, UK. As a key member of our Engineering Delivery team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of complex engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery, and meeting customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead high-performing engineering teams to deliver engineering solutions that meet customer needs
  • Develop and implement project strategies to ensure delivery of engineering aspects while meeting governance requirements
  • Collaborate with Programme Managers to define project organisation and work breakdown
  • Define project-specific processes, practices, and tools to ensure delivery
  • Manage engineering team's work packages, including resources, budgets, risks, and timelines
  • Plan and prioritise activities to deliver solutions to contract schedules, costs, and quality
  • Manage and report engineering efficiency for the project
  • Identify re-use opportunities across the project
  • Align project-defined solutions with the Product Roadmap
Requirements:
  • Extensive background in engineering and engineering management on large programmes
  • Demonstrable experience in successfully defining and leading delivery of multi-disciplinary engineering projects
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-moving environment
  • Knowledge and experience of naval products beneficial
