About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Everyturn Mental Health. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing person-centered care to individuals with dementia, promoting their independence, dignity, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality care and support to individuals with dementia, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive environment, adhering to health and safety protocols and reporting any concerns or incidents.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in dementia care.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Requirements
  • Experience working with individuals with complex mental health needs, particularly those with dementia.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with service users and their families.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Knowledge of dementia care principles, including person-centered care and behavior management.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety protocols and procedures.
